About us
The Transilvania Vet Training Center Association was born from our desire to increase the quality of the veterinary medical act in Romania. Intended to become a point of reference in the field of veterinary training and specialization, the association follows the models and benchmarks of similar institutions in the major European veterinary centers. As a result, the structure and themes of the courses, the operating system, but especially the trainers and speakers with whom we will collaborate, represent the proof of our mission and the commitment we have made. In 2023, Transilvania Vet Training Center starts on a path that we are sure will be full of challenges, opportunities and achievements, together with the team we form, our partners and especially with you – those who have chosen the field of veterinary medicine. This project is dedicated to you and your patients.

Sibiu Small Animal Internal Medicine Lecture Modules

Small Animal Internal Medicine Lecture Modules
From the first contact with the animal, to the correct diagnosis, procedures and treatments in internal diseases – ahis first Transilvania Vet Training Center course, consisting of 4 modules of 2 days each, comes to cover one of the main needs/requests on the veterinary medicine market in Romania and also turn you into a specialist in this field.
Gastroenterology, liver & pancreas
Day 1
- Oesophagus disease, regurgitation
- Vomiting, gastric diseases (Helicobacter)
- Acute diarrhoea (AHDS), infectious gastrointestinal problems
- Chronic diarrhoea (CE/IBD)
- Large intestinal problems (faecal incontinence, obstipation, etc.)
- Abnormal liver values, icterus
Day 2
- Ascites, oedema, etc
- Liver and gall bladder diseases and therapy
- Portosystemic shunt, hepatic encephalopathy
- Pancreatitis
- Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency

Cost
The cost of the module is 3,500 RON (~700€), including course notes, coffee breaks, and lunch.
Language
English – you should be able to understand sufficient English to follow oral lectures. If you have questions and do not want to speak English, translation into Romanian will mostly be available throughout the four modules.

Frequently asked questions
What can I expect if I attend one or all modules?
You will learn from expert speakers about all aspects of small animal internal medicine, from pathophysiology via diagnostic tests and differential diagnosis to all possibilities of management and therapy. Each module covers one or two organ system while the entire four courses will cover the complete internal medicine.
How many people will attend?
We will work in a small group of minimal 15 to maximally 35 attendees, so we can discuss cases and problems in person, and you get to know the lecturers and colleagues better. Be prepared to pose and answer questions.
Will I receive lecture notes?
Yes, all lecture slides will be available both in printed from as well as pdf, so you can download them from the Sibiu Small Animal Internal Medicine Lecture Modules website
Can I ask questions or discuss my own cases?
If you have questions about difficult cases, take all diagnostic material (radiographs, laboratory test results, etc.) along, the lecturers will have time to answer your questions
Can I get my money back if I need to cancel?
Up to 8 weeks before each module, you can withdraw your registration and get 90% of the registration fee back, up to 4 weeks before the module, you get 50% of the registration fee back, afterwards, no refund will be possible. You will, however, be able to send a colleague if you cannot attend.
Will there be a waiting list, if all places are taken?
This will be a course with maximum 35 attendees, so once all places are filled, we will have a waiting list should somebody need to withdraw the registration. Be prepared to get a short term notice.
Where will the Small Animal Internal Medicine Lecture Modules take place?
The first 3 lectures will take place at Horeum Boutique Hotel (https://horeum.ro), and the fourth course will be held in the Synevo Vet amphitheater at the Synevo headquarters in Bucharest.
We will have plenty of table space for writing, good acoustics, and enjoyable coffee and lunch breaks.
